Man is obsessed with the sole desire to control others. He thinks.. the best he could do it is with wealth and the second best is an emotional trap.

I hate people, who feel for nothing
I hate even the spoony fellows,
I hate beggars.. and those fat & rich fops.
I hate stupids.. and also the scientists.
I hate reserved, and those hyper-active flirts.
I hate mountains, and I hate the sea.
I hate GOD, and I hate to see there is no GOD.
I hate losers and also the lucky chaps.
I hate myself and I hate you too.
I look around and see the world,
full of things I hate.
I hate to be sick with this hatred fever.
Wish, I recover soon.

You are correct...absolutely correct! And to realize this is frustrating and to realize that one's emotional trap has failed makes one bitter too. I wish it was possible to stay away from using the emotional traps!
Perhaps 'control' is not apt to use here 'tame' may be but these situations do not arise unless there is some motive behind behind taming/controlling. Often to make ill-wills a success these mantras are used unless there is no need for that after all 'mutual understanding' is balancing the system.
